Tasty & Fun Recipes To Make With Your Air Fryer

French fries, fried chicken, fish & chips, fried okra, onion rings . . . the list goes on and on. Anything fried tastes insanely good. But, as we know, fried foods are not the best for our health. Given that it's the start to a new year, we know that plenty of individuals are prioritizing their health and wellness. This is why we recommend you get out your air fryer, as we have some awesome recipes for you to try! Air frying is a healthier alterative to deep-frying that doesn't require submerging your food to fry. Air-Fried BBQ Chicken 

Fried chicken is a godsend but make it bbq'ed and air-fried and you've got yourself some finger-lickin' chicken! Kids and adults alike, will love this recipe.

Fried Chicken

INGREDIENTS

2 cups of crushed crackers

1 large egg

1 packet of Colorado Spice BBQ Seasoning

Cooking spray

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. In a bowl mix the BBQ Seasoning with the crushed crackers. Place the beaten egg in a separate bowl. Dip chicken in egg, then in cracker mixture. Pat the mixture onto the chicken to help the coating adhere. In batches, place chicken in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket, spritz with cooking spray.
  • Cook for 10 minutes. Turn chicken and spritz with cooking spray. Cook for another 10-15 minutes or until chicken is golden brown and juices run clear.

Air-Fried Herb & Garlic Brussels Sprouts 

These crispy Brussels Sprouts make for the perfect healthy side dish. They're loaded with flavor, are easy to make, and are good for you!

Brussels Sprouts

 

INGREDIENTS

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

3 tbsps olive oil

1 packet of Colorado Spice Herb & Garlic Pepper Rub

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°. Mix a generous amount of the Herb & Garlic Pepper Rub into the olive oil.
  • Toss Brussels sprouts with 2 tablespoons oil mixture. Place Brussels sprouts on tray in air-fryer basket; cook 4-5 minutes. Stir sprouts. Cook for another 5 minutes or until lightly browned stirring halfway through cooking time.
  • Toss bread crumbs with more Herb & Garlic Rub mixture and sprinkle over sprouts. Continue cooking until crumbs are browned and sprouts are tender, 3-5 minutes. 

Air-Fried Pickles 

The absolute perfect appetizer! You'll enjoy this recipe if you love deep-fried pickles. Plus, our recipes upgrades the flavor of traditional fried dill pickles. Be sure to get your ranch for dipping.

INGREDIENTS 

32 dill pickle slices 

1/2 cup all-purpose flour 

3 large eggs- beaten lightly 

2 tbsps. dill pickle juice 

2 cups panko bread crumbs 

1 packet of Colorado Spice Citrus Dill Salmon Rub

Cooking spray 

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°. Lay pickle slices on a paper towel until liquid is almost absorbed. (Approx.. 15 minutes).
  • Meanwhile, combine flour and Citrus Dill Rub in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk eggs and pickle juice. Have the panko in a third bowl by itself.
  • Dip pickles in flour mixture to coat both sides; shake off excess. Dip in egg mixture, then in panko, patting to help coating adhere. In batches, place pickles in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until golden brown and crispy, 7-10 minutes. Turn pickles; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown and crispy, 7-10 minutes longer. Serve with ranch dressing!

Air-Fried Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies 

Of course, everyone needs a little sweet treat once in a while. The air fryer allows the cookies to be crisp on the edges but soft and chewy on the inside. We love these cookies as they are loaded with fiber-rich oatmeal and nuts, which make them even more satisfying! 

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

 

INGREDIENTS 

1- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

 1/2 cup  granulated sugar 

1 cup softened butter 

2 large eggs 

2 tsps vanilla extract 

3 cups quick oats

1- 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 

1 tsp baking soda 

1 tsp salt 

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 

1 cup chopped nuts 

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat air fryer to 325°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy for about 5 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • In another bowl, whisk oats, flour,  baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Grease the tray of the air-fryer basket. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls into the air-fryer basket in batches, place 1 in. apart. Cook until lightly browned, 8-10 minutes. Remove and cook on wire racks!
