Chef Recipe for Quintessential Brine for Turkey: Mix entire packet of brine in 1 ½ C Hot water. Stir frequently until salt and sugar are completely dissolved. Note: the other spices won’t dissolve. Cool completely. Pour over your choice of meat - up to 2lbs. Technique Countertop - let brining meat sit for up to an hour. Refrigerator - let brining meat rest in refrigerator all day, up to overnight. Remove meat from brine and pat dry. Note: Do not save and reuse brine that has had raw protein in it, discard. Cook as desired.

Roasted Turkey Rub (Oven Roasted Turkey Recipe): Pre heat oven to 500 degrees. Place thawed turkey on a rack in a roasting pan, breast side up. Let the turkey warm and the skin dry for 30 minutes. Once dry, coat the skin with butter or oil, you can also place pats of butter under the skin. Cover entire outside of the turkey with whole packet of Colorado Spice Roasted Turkey Rub. Place one each quartered apple, lemon and onion in the turkey cavity. Pour 2 cups water or broth into the roasting pan along with your choice of vegetables. Shield turkey breast with foil to prevent it from burning and drying out. Cook turkey at 500 degrees for 30 minutes, then remove the foil shield, lower oven temperature to 350, and cook turkey to an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Let your turkey rest out of the oven for 10 minutes before carving. Enjoy!
