We've got your turkey dinner covered with this Garlic Tarragon Brine Kit. This perfectly simple brine kit includes 14 ounces of our Citrus Ambrosia brine blend (see ingredients below), and a large brine bag. All you need is the bird!
Turkey Brining Instructions:
- Brine - Brine turkey 24 hours before you intend to cook it. Prepare the brine by pouring entire contents of the Garlic Tarragon Brine into one gallon (16 cups) of water in a pot, heat to simmer, stir until all the salt and sugar are dissolved. Let cool. Place turkey into the brining bag, and pour the cooled brine into the bag, add at least another gallon of ice water to the bag, making sure the entire turkey is submerged and filled with the brine solution. Seal tightly, put entire bag into the refrigerator overnight.
- Season - Remove your beautifully brined turkey from the brine bag, and if possible, rinse well under cold water to remove excess brine. Place turkey on a rack in a roasting pan, coat the skin with butter under the skin. Rub the entire outside of the turkey with whole packet of Colorado Spice seasoning. We suggest Colorado Spice Roasted Turkey Rub.
- Cook - Cook your brined and spice rubbed turkey as per instructions included with the turkey. Enjoy!
Storage Instructions: In the case that there are remaining spices leftover, please seal in a Ziploc-style bag and store in a dark, cool, dry place. Use within 6 months. Note: Do not save and reuse brine that has had raw protein in it, discard.
